But I'm hoping regulation eventually solves the telemetry problem. I think it's the best version of Windows we've ever had. Ultimately everybody has a right to privacy, and everybody should have a right to computing and the internet (no matter what their IT skills or level of intelligence) without having to worry about this kind of BS. Unfortunately, big Windows updates often add more telemetry collection points which are often enabled by default so anyone who wants to keep it disabled is chasing a moving target. You've got to fiddle around in the Group Policy Editor which will be daunting (to the point of inaccessibility) for the average person to use. The problem with 'disabling' telemetry in Windows 10 is that the setting available to most users ('Basic') in the Home and Professional editions doesn't completely disable it. Ne0n Ri0 a écrit :There is a way to stop telemetry data gathering on Windows 10 too (without breaking anything) I just can't remember how to do it, but establishments that use an intranet and have heavy firewalls for secutity concerns do it, I'm also pretty sure you can just contact Microsoft and ask them to stop gathering telemetry data too, but don't hold me to that
